Randy Kiel, MA, LMHC

Randy Kiel, MA, LMHC founded Kardia Counseling in 1994. Randy is a licensed mental health counselor with a private practice of psychotherapy and counseling in central Iowa. With 30 years of clinical experience, Randy has spent over 65,000 hours sitting with people to learn how to care for them and their needs. Randy has been married for more than 40 years and has 4 children and 2 grandchildren.

Cheryl Kiel, RN

Cheryl Kiel, RN has practiced nursing for more than 30 years, including as charge nurse on pediatric intensive care units, in emergency rooms, in Hospice care, and school nursing.  As a counselor at Kardia, she adds medical perspective that adds great value to customized client experience.  Cheryl offers clients deep insight in areas of moods and anxiety, grief, life transitions, health concerns, and how to move forward with life. Cheryl has been married for more than 40 years and has 4 children and 2 grandchildren.

Micah Kiel, MS, MBA, tLMHC

Micah Kiel, MS, MBA, tLMHC is licensed to practice mental health counseling in Iowa. Before advancing to the mental health field, Micah served as the Director of Community Relations and Philanthropy at Wells Fargo across several states. In this role, he delivered more than $20 million dollars of charitable funds in the areas of housing affordability, financial health, and small business growth. He served on the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s Executive Board and Inclusion Council as well as the board of the Iowa Center for Economic Success. Micah received the Heroes for the Homeless Award from Central Iowa Shelter and Services and was named as one of the Des Moines Business Record’s 40 Under 40.

Micah earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mental Health Counseling from Drake University, and he was honored to be the graduate student speaker at commencement. He also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Iowa State University and an undergraduate degree from Creighton University. Upon graduating from Creighton, he was awarded the university’s top honor, the Spirit of Creighton Award.
